Lionel started his career in theatre, first designing sets and then moving into writing and directing, before making the short films that got him noticed by Premiere Heure, a leading French production house. From there, he has progressed into advertising, bringing a strong sense of story as well as a unique eye for forging visual connections.
He has filmed for brands such as AXA, Citroen, Mercedes and Vivo, among others. As a lover of good stories, he continues to direct multiple shorts and has just finished his first TV series for Canal +. He has recently written his first feature film, which will shoot in late 2020.
Lionel is inspired by real people and real lives, and brings a sympathetic exploration of the human condition to his work, with added depth gained from years of working with actors from all over the world.
