Jade O'Belle

Jade O’Belle's interests seep into her work, which explores notions of identity, queerness, and sexuality. Working through any mediums, including film, art direction, performance, sound and costume, O’Belle indulges in multi-sensory visual imagery through mythical prose. Her debut short film Birthright explores her paternal ancestral connection to Yoruba culture, using rituals to allow the memories forefathers to pass through her through her body and informs how she moves through the world

Jade has worked with photographers such as; Nick Knight, Tim Walker, Solve Sundsbo, Carlijn Jacob and Harley Weir. She has also been a muse to designers and artists, such as; Di Petsa, Sinead O’dwyer, Michaela Stark and Aune.
