Degni grew up in Finland, in a family of one half Swedish-speaking Finns and the other from Ivory Coast. Spending his formative years in a country where at times it’s dark round the clock, the aspiring filmmaker lived in his imagination and, as a result, his work lives at the weirder and more genre-bending end of the creative spectrum. Never settling for ordinary, Degni packs his high energy pieces with daring ideas - technical camera moves, outlandish characters, unconventional stories - presented with a knowing confidence and swagger.
